I know how obvious it is to talk about nutrition and Hungry Jacks, but there are still some fish alive in the barrel and I can’t resist anyway.
Hungry Jacks have had a run of ads on TV lately about their “breakfast on the go” including a Breakfast Wrap as well as a cappuccino. The wrap contains sausage, egg, bacon and cheese. But don’t worry its in a wrap not a muffin or bun! Its fine. Looking at the nutritional fact sheet you can see it contains over 50% of your recommended daily intake of salt, 82.5% for saturated fats and 614 calories. Thats before you even get to the drink!
Now I’m not saying you would be stupid enough to think its healthy because its served in a wrap. Infact every once in a while I don’t mind having a bacon, egg, cheese roll from the coffee shop downstairs at work with BBQ sauce (typically when I haven’t had enough sleep and am in for a rough day) – But I mean whats the point? If your going to have a heart stopping, artery hardening breakfast why not go the whole way and get it on an even more unhealthy muffin or roll and really enjoy it? Maybe even a roll topped with cheese? I have not had one so I can’t say if the wrap changes the taste in anyway or if it makes it better or worse. If I ever do have one, I’ll be sure to post.
